thinkin thinkin.. whr to get a nice high tea buffet? go through a lot of menus and suggestions from my frens. would like to get one which is not too expensive but yet their food is EATABLE. haha.. finally we chose a la carte buffet @ lao bei jing. hmm.. heard some bad reviews but would really like to taste it as i think different people has different views and taste. actually im also attracted to its pricing as its $18 net per person.
the ambience of this restaurant at plaza sg is quite comfortable and we reached thr just in time before da buffet started at 3pm. they hav a menu for us to tick and besides that, there is an area whr some foods are already ready for us to take. on da table were sweet and sour pork, black pepper beef, prawn paste chicken wings, fried bee hoon, char siew pao and tao sar pao, siew mai, some fried and fritters item, soup and dessert.
for the list of menu that we need to order, most of them is da dim sum. the main thing i wanna complaint is, their xiao long tang bao taste bad! not only the skin is thick, da soup also got a funny taste.. luckily we only ordered 2 portions.
for others, im quite satisfied. even ru picky tongue can accept, meaning its still eatable.. hahaha..the are also some noodles that can be ordered.
wat i can say, their food is not really so bad as wat others complaint.. i myself was quite satisfied with the quality and taste. by paying $18, wat do you expect?
