OT life..

Just started the new job for 2 weeks and yesterday was the first time i work ot at midnight...before i go to office, i went to the coffee shop to buy a kopi-KAO..haha..in case i will fall asleep during my first job. hahaha..
boss ask me to wait him at office around 11.30pm. Around 11pm i reached office but he still haven't reach. sat down at a corner and played my psp for about 15mins before he arrived. 11.30pm, we set off to pasir panjang port. this was also my first time entering this port. Just like what we saw in movie, container was stacked up so high, when police and thief were chasing each other..haha..
The vessel was already there when the arrived. it will only dock in singapore for 7.5 hrs so the latest we will be working is until 8am. went up the vessel, meet with the chief engineer and his staff and proceed to the burner side. things always happen like that. when the doctor comes, sickness will always vanish. that means the problem that they are facing, when we were thr, everything is perfectly fine. look look and c c a while, around 2am, we left the place. ohh..so good, can back sleep lo.
nasib baik the kopi-KAO didn't work to me, as back home, after shower, directly i fell into my dreamland. hope i can get use to it for this kind of lifestyle...GOD bless me...

A week later...

So fast already 1 week after i start my new job...life is still the same...just only the people around me changed, and the working environment is different. for this whole week, only today i'm in office..the other days, i'm working at sembawang shipyard. in the shipyard, actually the most concern thing is the safety. so many people working around, you also dunno what others are doing and if someone accidentally did sumthing wrong, a lot of people will be in trouble. for me, i working at the higher deck of the ship. actually from my working area, when i look outside, i can see many big vessels around me. too bad i can't bring my camera in. if not the picture sure will be very beautiful.
as for the starting, i'm following another guy who joined the company 2 months earlier than me. he is a china man who already converted to singaporean. he is about 40++ and because of recession, he was retrenched from his previous company which he worked for 9 years. too bad. he is quite a nice guy but it is very hard to communicate with him as his china tone is very KAU LAT" and he always like to murmur. when talk to him i always need to "HAR" & "HAR" a few times only know what he is talking about. although he worked in semicon for so long, but his electrical skills are still not bad..i still need to learn from him. hmm...he is also too soft like a tauhu...if after a few months he is still the same..i think i will climb over him..haha..step on his head...
there are also a few other guys from myanmar who are also very nice to talk to. from their pattern of talking, let me think of WinSoe my previous x-coll. although they are same status as me, but those old guys seems like to bully them. ker lian. besides them, there are 2 cute ah pek. one is typical fierce ah pek another 1 is a hongkong 开心果 ah pek. both of them always like to argue, but they are good frens. both of them speak fluent canto which i think i can improve my dialect by speacking to them oftenly. the fierce ah pek, always use foul language but those languages came out from his mouth seems very funny. whenever he scolds i will keep smiling. example, he always like to say "蠢人没药医,医好变白痴" in canto. the tune which he said is very nice to hear. another 口头禅 he always say is 狗奴才. besides them, there are still a few of them.
from what i heard them say, they actually oftenly travel around asia for reparing and servicing. at least once a month. they said that going overseas is very tired. work work and work. there were once, they when for 2 months at china, working non-stop. scary when heard. thats for their repair side. but for me, maintenance side, going overseas is also required but will not be as long as them la..my job is not as dirty as them. i just need to check the electrical wiring and the burner operating sequence. the only thing that they are better is, they go as a group but if for me, i go alone. thats bad...will be lonely ler...hehehe...
hope everything will be fine la....HOPE HOPE HOPE!!!

After a few hours, when i'm warm up, i started to get known of them one by one. Actually this is a multi races company. Some of them from malaysia, singapore, myanmar, hongkong and china. for those that i have got to know, all of them are very friendly. from what i guess, i'm the youngest among them. hope i can get use of this new job soon.
tomolo i'm going to the port..god bless me!

Perhentian Trip...part 3

As usual, i woke up early, went to the beach to take photos. Then when reach breakfast time, went back to join them. Hmm..as for the past food, i already do not have any high expectations. after breakfast, we set off for jungle trekking. Actually it is quite boring but we are able to tour the whole pulau perhentian besar. There are lots of other chalet around which seems serving higher quality and service if compared to our chalet. The tour took about 2 hrs. When we are back to the chalet, we are almost famished but we still need to wait for 2hrs b4 the lunch was served. so for the time being, we ordered coconut for each of us which cost us a dollar cheaper if compared to what we have at lang tengah.
After the trekking, we already do not have any other activities. so till late afternoon, we all were free roaming around. About 4pm, we rented kayak from Arwana Chalet. We planned to go to the spring water but only about half an hour of kayaking, the sky turns dark. Winds were howling and the wave became stronger. No choice, we have to turn back from where we came from. when we reach the beach, it has already started raining. we sat at Arwana's dinning area to wait for the rain to stop. Arwana's kitchen design is quite funny. As it is raining, the rain water partially flows to the top of the kitchen and flows down directly on top of the cooking area. All the stove and kuali were being "washed clean" by the rain water...hmm..is that the actual design? very unhygienic ler...the cats and dogs do not want to leave, so we were trapped at the area for 1hr+. As we have another 1 hr of kayaking, we told the PIC that we are coming back for the next morning.
Back to our chalet, clean ourself then prepare for the dinner. This should be the best dinner we were having as it is the BBQ dinner. hmm...wat do ya think...for me, i only think that the sotong and hotdog is nice..others like chicken, fish and fried rice sucks. This final night, some of them group in the room while others were at the outside watching astro soccer match. Thats all for the third day.
The last morning, after the breakfast, we when for our final 1hr kayak. After that, each of us packed our things and left the beautiful island at 11am. Again, Boat, Van, Airplane,Airplane,Taxi.. I'm back in SG. Haih..If i'm one of the beach boys at perhentian or redang, how nice will it be...but now i'm the beach boys in SG this island. Sienz....

Unique BP...

Last 2 weeks when i'm back at BP, when to Ah See Wan Tan Mee to have our lunch. I think in my previous post, i have said that this noodle stall is one of the food that represents BP. It is the red noodles which is almost same as the red noodles from Pontian. From the 50s till now, it has as reputable name in BP. Af first they only have a shop near Jalan Rahmat, but after the brothers have dispute among themself, they separated and opened their own shop. Although both of them has the skills, but for me, i still prefer the elder brother's noodles.

Oh back to the topic, when we are sitting there, near to the back of the shop, we saw this signboard that i would like to share with all of you. For you what will you do? haha...

Perhentian Trip...part 2

the second morning, woke up a bit late as the previous nite slept around 1am...when reached the beach, already a lot of people hanging around. took out my camera, there i go clicking clicking...hao woke up a bit later, then we together walked along the beach, taking photos. here we came by a funny 稻草人which they make it wear diving suit..a thought came into my mind, will this thing scroll along the beach at night?
After everyone is up, we had our breakfast. Then we set off to Redang island for some shopping. travelled around 1hr, we reached redang. When reach there, made me thought of the previous graduation trip...should be around 30 of us then..but now..only 13..haih...as everyone is getting off the boat, suddenly heard that baoyi got a cut on her hand..the cut was made when she hold on the ship when she jump down..a deep cut...hwa,ying and leong faster brought her to the nearest shop to buy plaster. the plaster seems no used as the blood still soaked it...after that keep 买东西,拍照,买东西,拍照
about 2 hrs later, we retreated for lang tengah. a small small island just about 30 mins from perhentian. here each of us have a coconut which cost us RM6 each. anyway, it is very refreshing! next we went to marine park and had our lunch thr. this was the third time i have been thr..aih...wat to do..no more other places to go ler...haha.. the fishes are still so beautiful but this time is my first time to visit the wreaked ship area. at first wendy do not allowed us to go as he said the current is very strong but after we determine we are going, he also gave in. only 3 of us, Me, Hwa and Soon went at first. about 5 mins from the jetty, we reached the area. they ship looks eerie and seems like its going to pull me in..hahaa...our boat was driven nearby so that we can directly board thr...but before we swam near the boat, they shouted that hao was swimming towards us from the beach. alamak...i have to swim to his position and push him to the boat...so tired la...like catch no breath..hahaha...after that, there we proceed to the spring water again.

during dinner, the night was clear. the moon was placed beautifully in such a position that attracted us to take its photos even we are eating half way.after that quickly finished up my dinner then continue to take photos of the beautiful night. about half an hour later, it started to rain which make us retreat back to our rooms. in the room, we played 抽乌龟. actually i'm very sueh, most of the game i will be the few last player. after 14 games, me, loong, leong and ying become the tortise king as we loses 2 times each!

there is goes the second day...so fast!!!

Perhentian Trip...part 1

Its been quite long since i waited for this trip...b4 KK trip, it has already been suggested by Fung and Soon but since the schedule was too packed and lacked of responses, the trip has been canceled previously. After almost 1 year, this trip has been realised by our 龙大哥again. If hadn't been him, i think we have already forgotten our x-INTI friends since long ago. We learn from mistakes everytime, so i think after so many events, 龙大哥 de skills have improved magnificiently. hahaha... We all should giv him a big CLAP!

On thursday night, 7 of us from SG gather at golden mile bus station to set off to our destination, PULAU PERHENTIAN. We bought the ticket at 10pm as we wanted to reach KL later so that we would not wait so long for our flight to KB but StarMart nvr fail to travel faster then we expected. About 2am++, we already reached Sungai Besi. As it was too early, Hwa led us to his house first. At his house, all the gals went to sleep but we watched the Johor movie 白蚂蚁. As a Johorian, i also do not know about this movie. It is a very funny, local Johor custom movie. Anyone who nvr watch it b4, i highly recommend it to you.

About 4.30am, Hwa's dad and bro, fetched us to KL Sentral where we can directly take a bus to LCCT. KL gang was already there. About 1 hr, we reached LCCT. Sofphia and her husband were already there. As we are already quite late, Loong, Me and Hao went to check in our luggage. Waited quite long which made us missed our breakfast. It took us 1hr to reach KB and thr directly was a guy to pick us up. To Hwa suprise, the guy who picked us up is some1 he knew. From the airport to the Jetty, also took about 1hr journey. At the Jetty, when waiting for our boat, we bought another 12 bottles of mineral water as each person only entitled 1 bottle of 1500ml water per day at perhentian. Mr Ong who is the in charge person of the trip was very friendly. I only knew that he is the boss of our chalet later. The journey to Perhentian Island took us about 45mins. So total up from SG to Perhentian, it took us around 8hrs.

From far as the boat glide nearer to the beach, the water is so blue and clear which made me so shiok! Well well, here we are at Pulau Perhentian @ Flora Resort. At the first glace, the condition is not as good as we previously stayed at Redang Resort. The beach is not as nice as Redang where the white sands at redang go all the way out to the sea. Flora Resort do not have much facilities. From what i saw, there is only a canteen which merge with the counter, a color tv, a public phone, a small souvenior shop, a burger stall and the rooms. As there were 13 of us, we were divided into 3 groups. Hwa, his wife, BaoYi and Chien in 1 room, Sophia, her husband, Pucca and Loong in the other room and the rest of the “MaLatLou" at another room. My room, there is a double bed and a double decker. The bathroom is very small and the condition is..ermm..better dun say it..the floor of the room, at some area already has a hole. they just use a mat to cover over it. what a shame of them...if this condition continues, their business sure will become worse.

Next, we had our lunch. The dishes were vege, chicken, fish and egg. U think is a superb meal?hmm..what i can say is they better change the cook!OK, as it is our first day, forget about the meal, we were all excited about the snorkerling event...yeah..always heard and read from blogs, perhentian's water is clearer and corals are more beautiful than redang. around 1pm, there we go for our first snorkerling event. Our guide for this first event is call Ah Long. He is a chinese but exactly like the malays there. He brought us to a shallow water area and taught us about the basic of snorkerling. After that, Mr Wendy took over Ah Long. Wendy is a HE. A very tanned young beach boy. Why he choses this name? Dont ask me. He brought us around to visit Nemo, then the turtle, the little shark and the papa mama shark. It is lucky when we were looking at the turtle as it came very near to us and i really saw it very clearly. For the shark wise, the color of it actually blends with the water, quite hard to saw it. It swims very fast, so just got to see it twice. Then, we were brought to the spring water. The water is very cold and very shiok to bath on it.
After all this, the time is only 3 sumthing if i'm correct. The time seems passed very slowly. When back to the chalet, we went to the beach to play volleyball and frisbee. Dinner time! The dishes were sotong, chicken, fish, vege, sotong and tomyum soup. Chicken was too salty, fish was too dry and vege has no taste. Sotong tasted normal. The best is the soup but only when it is hot. When it turns cold, alamak, it is really salty. Are they using salt water to cook?hahaha.. at night, there are no activities there. No disco, no karaoke. We gather at one of the room. What were we doing?i bet u guessed it..Cho Tai Di. around 11pm every1 turn to bed as it was a tiring day.

First day, conclusion. No good food, no pretty gals. Only have a "Mou Tik Tai Hoi Keng"!

Fries...Kvindou 天才少厨师

Today i'm going to intro a very easy dish which is the fries. Another "Ah Pit's Secret Recipe".

As this is very easy to do, i won't show any picture step by step.

Ingredients
1)Potatoes
2)Corn flour
3)Salt
4)Pepper
5)Oil

Alternative ingredients
1)Garlic Butter

Procedure
1) Firstly, cut the potato to the shape you want. Normally, stick shape.

2) Then, add a little salt and the pepper to the potatoes.

3) If you have tasted the original taste before, then this step you can add the garlic butter to the potatoes and mix it evenly.

4) Mix the potatoes with the corn flour.

5) After mixture, make sure that the oil is ready.

6) Fried the potatoes, and when it turns golden brown, it is ready to be served.

A 20 cents worth of suggestion from Kvindou

Most important step in this recipe is after step 4, please wait until you see the potatoes with the corn flour turn a bit wettish before you fried it. This step is to avoid huge quantity of oil being soaked into the potatoes and the oil will be full of flour if this suggestion is not followed.

If you do not have enough oil to deep fried the potatoes, use lesser oil but when turning the potatoes from one side to the other, please watil till it is hard enough before you do it, if not it will easily broken.

Turn the fire from big to small before frying the potatoes in order not to burn the potatoes and able to fry the potatoes until it is golden brown.

By adding the garlic butter, not only there is a special taste, the potatoes will also turn more crispy.
* This dish, the taste is different from the fries you eat at any fast food. As i like to cut it in bigger portion, each bite i can taste the potatoes fragrance. Yumm..yumm..hmmm but it is still not a healthy food to eat..once in a while it is still a nice food to taste.

Banana Cake...Kvindou 天才少厨师

I not only Live TO Eat, but i also keen in cooking. Today i'm going to show you all how to make a tasty banana cake..One of "Ah PiT Secret Home Recipe"

The ingredients needed for 1kg of Banana cake are
3 Pisang Tali
250gm of flour
185gm of sugar
185gm of butter
3 limes
2 eggs
2 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of Soda Bicarbonate

Equipments needed
A Mixer
A container
A smasher? (Motar and ...)
A weigher
An Oven
A clive

After all ingredients and equipments are ready, i promise the cake will be hot hot to be served in about 1 hour.

I will make the procedure to be as clear as possible so that anyone who is first time making a cake will have a clear path to follow. Each procedure i'm going to attach with a picture, hope that helps. Here we go...

1) Mixed the sugar with the butter in a container.

2) Use the mixer to blend the sugar and butter together. Blend them until the mixture color become very light yellow or almost white. You will also see the mixture become "kembang" and creamer. The left photo shows that the mixture is still not white and kembang enough. The right picture is the correct thing you should get. (Remember, only use the mixer to mix in one way such as only clockwise or counter clock wise. If this is not follow, the baking results will fail)

3) Add 1 of the egg and blend until it is even then only add the other egg and repeat the same step.

4) Add the lime juice and the vanilla essence into the mixture and blend it evenly again.

5) Smash the banana into a paste form and pour it into the container of mixture. Blend evenly.

6) At the other side, mix the flour, soda bicabonate and baking powder together. Use a clive to ensure that the mixture is loose and do not have any other odd particles.

7) Remove the mixer. Add the mixture of flour, soda bicarbonate and baking powder into the container. Do not use the mixer to mix the ingredients by this point. It will cause the baking results to fail. Use a spoon or other things to mix them. Mix evenly.

8) The baking container should be covered with a thin layer of butter so that the cake won't stick to the container later. With the butter, the side of the cake will be crispier also.

9) Pour the ingredients into the baking container and spread it evenly.

10) Put the baking container into the oven to bake for 45mins and it is ready to be served.

Around 30mins, the fragrance of the cake can be smelt through the whole house.

When just take out from oven, remember to taste the top brown layer first as it is the best of the best.

A little suggestion from Kvindou
The banana that you use need to be Pisang Tali and not Pisang Tanduk or Pisang Kapok. The cake will have a nicer color, taste and smell with Pisang Tali.

The vanilla essence need to be the brand i used. Star Brand. Other brand don't seems to have that special taste.

If want to be healthier, reduce the sugar and butter used but for sure the taste will also reduce.

Just a 10 cent worth of suggestion from Kvindou.
