AhBoon Laksa @ Taman Pantai, BatuPahat by ViN
The first breakie after back to bp for cny.. wat to eat neh.. at first planned to have the very very haulian pakcik's roti prata but traval all da way thr, he was not in business that day.. alamak.. so is he still doing business anot? how come everytime when i wanna hav it, he didnt open de wor.. its saturday neh.. nwm lo.. hmmm.. wat to eat neh..
P suggested ahboon laksa.. im quite suprised that he suggested as during schooling time, he always objected this dish lo.. reached the stall and luckily it was opened. customer a lot neh.. wahh.. his son so old liau o.. previous time i visit seems still bery small le.. meaning im really old la.. hahaha..
when my laksa was served, wosshhh.. seeing it and tasting it lingers me to the passed days when after school we all will group at this shop to have our lunch.. im able to eat 2 big bowls and finished a full container of sambal. wahahaha.. thats me.. the uncle should remember me..but that day when i visited him, i think he totally forget about me liau.. i maybe become more hansem ba.. wahahaha..
his laksa actually is not superbly nice but compare to those that i have in sg, i really preferred his as it seems that the coconut milk that he used is not so much.. and the sambal is free flow.. when the laksa is served, it is orange in colour..
but mine will turned ferrari red after a few seconds.. wahahahaha... like that really taste better lo.. hiak hiak.. for the stalls condition ler.. its quite old and shabby.. maybe somebady will feel, its quite dirty by its looks.. but for me, i really dun care la.. most important is to have good food mah.

As 茹 said that it will be very full to take that package, my stomach is well prepared for the war. wahahaa.. one thing about this shop, their waiter and waitress when wanna take order from us, they will all kneel beside us.. at first i tot that gal is too tall hard to bend down but saw that they are doing the same to each table, hmmm.. so Japanese vah..

Half Watami Salad
Kori Kaarage
Wafu Pizza
Dunno wats da name.. Sumthing like tempuyaki? hahaha
Hotpot Black Pepper Beef
Before stir
After stirred

Malacca Makan Trip part 2 by ViN
After a good night sleep without any "disturbances"..hehe.. im the first to woke up followed by P. looking at everybady sleep sleeping, we headed out for our breakie by ourself but before going out, we need to shift the car as my frens Vios is blocking da way. P went out to start the Vios but after 5mins, eh how come no car starting sound le.. i went out to have a peep and saw that he seems to be fumbling around in da car looking for sumthing..
ViN: Wat r u doing?
P:Do u know how to start da car?
ViN: Har?
P:Not directly turn the key only lo..
ViN: issit step on da break or is thr a button behind the key hole?
P: Nole..
We tested for a while but no avail.. the car now really too high tech la.. hahaha.. both uncles were not stupid.. we let go of the handbrakes and shift da car manually.. wahhahhaha.. 真聪明.. after that only got to know that we should step on the clutch lo.. nvr really cross our clever brains.. wahahaha..
We headed out for our breakfast but do not actually know whr to go.. just simply turn here and thr.. we got to find a kopitiam.. hmmm.. those food that we ordered really SUCKS! wahahaha.. none of them tasted nice lo..
After everybady woke up, we checked out the hotel and proceed for our lunch.. again very near to jonker street.
It is called as Nancy Kitchen which served peranakan nyonya dishes.. when we reached, we attacked their nyonya kuih first..
The main dishes ordered were as below
All of the food above, cost us RM193.. still counted cheap ba for a 10person meal. b4 heading back to jb, actually we wanted to taste the oyster noodles@Teo Soon Loong Chan but the shop was closed lo.. too bad.. not sure when is my next chance to taste it.. also wanna approach the chicken rice ball again but really too many people.. no choice la.. after buying some Sam Shu Gong items, we bade goodbye to the Historical State..
Its really an enjoyable makan trip.. thanks to my wife, 茹 who lead us to all of the nice food..

Malacca Makan Trip part 1 by ViN
Its been months that i have waited for this trip to come. finally its here but it seems just a split second it has already passed! time really flies..
we planned for a 2days 1nite trip..as everyone is working, it is really hard to make it longer. anyway, its just nice for a short trip as we r thr just for makan, makan and makan.
after a simple toasted bread plus kopi o breakie, 10 of us, in 2 cars(so ngam both also Vios like helping toyota advertise) set off from Kulai to our destination.
before reaching Malacca, our first stop for our first meal of the trip is Tangkak Beef Noodles. Yeah, Tangkak is really very famous for this dish but its still my first time having it.
the portion is not big, just nice as i knew after that thr will be more loads going into my stomach. the taste of this beef noodles actually tasted very very similar to the beef noodles sold in batupahat. hmm.. to me if the soup able to be more 够味 a little, then should be quite nice.
stayed at that shop for about less than an hour, there we set of to the history state of malaysia. when we reached malacca, first thing we did was to check into our rented house, Hotel Sunflower.
for a whole house with four bedrooms and four toilet,it only cost us about RM500 for a nite.. counted quite cheap ba..
settled the check in, we proceed to our second makan destination@Jonker Street. Laksa and Cendol were the next target. The laksa sold here is really not bad.. but the only ting i dun like is their sambal. a little bit sour sour de.. i dun like.
if for normal days, i sure will attack da biggest portion sold but as i know i need to limit the intake as i can foresee more is coming, i shared a small bowl wit P. hahaha..
anyway, the cendol i have a bowl for myself. hmmm.. its counted good la but the santan really a lot.. very very bad for health ooo..for this trip i keep telling myself, its ok la.. not having all these unhealthy food everyday ma.. hahaha..
next we jalan jalan around jonker street b4 we reached our next prey, chicken rice ball.. hiak hiak.. there are a few selling this dish but do you know which 1 is the best? since i knew about this chicken rice ball, whenever im in malacca, i will go bek to the same shop.. which is the corner one beside da river..
but this time, we chose Hoe Kee, as they said the rice is better than others.. oklo, lets try it out.. really need to queue up for quite long lo.. so many people oo.. actually each of the shop selling chicken rice ball also have a long queue.. i think i need to wrap up sg job and come malacca sell this dish la.. hahaha.. finally it our turn to be seated. dishes were served and im happility snapping my pictures...
through the lenses, the rice balls looks very irresistible.. i cannot stand to wait any longer and pop one into my mouth.. eh, how come seems not taste? gave another try.. hmmm.. its really not so nice lo..
chicken wise le, i dun really able to compare who is better la as it seems to be in a par. we also ordered asam fish. ermmm.. to me, i dun prefer chinese style of asam fish.. still will choose the famous asam pedas from batupahat.. hehehe..
do you think we are full? nono.. still long way to go.. continue window shopping at jonker street.. along da way, i still throw in a lot of junk food into my mouth.. smoked cuttlefish, yam cake and satay fishball. hahaha.. yeah.. still not enough.. we headed to pahlawan mall for our high tea.. hohohahaha.. the famous thousand layer cake.
heard about it for sometime but i nvr had a chance to taste it. ordered 4 flavours and the best i still think is the original taste.
Original
Strawberry
Mocha
Banana
it is really quite expensive but they dun seems to be lack of customer lo..
chit chatting at pahlawan mall for quite some time and finally we decided to leave for our dinner at Portugese Village. before getting our car, we passed by jonker street again that there was a performance by a guiness record holder for breaking coconuts with his finger.. yeah.. with FINGERS! but this uncle really talk too much.. to see him perform need to wait more than half and hour for him to poke his finger into the coconut.. on the way to portugese village, we took a long journey thr as non of us really know how to go and luckily there is a thing called as GPS.. haha.. and GPS also bring is to HOLLAND once... wahahaha.. our prefered stall no.1 was not open, so each of us started to take out our phone to ask our malacca frens which was the next stall to choose as we dont want to be "Turnips!!!".. after a few rounds of asking, we settled in at shop number 2.
each of the dishes if let me to rate i think really not very nice except the fish. the taste of the sambal fish is really not bad. the price also quite reasonable la.. but if give me a second chance, i think i wont be back lo..
its already quite late after having our dinner but as most of us are not full. so b4 going bek to the house, we bought some cockles fried noodles and chicken wings for our supper..
So in total, we had 7 meals in this day inclusing my breakie.. Really Fat Die me la..
to be continued...
