Since 茹 started to work in Singapore, we have always heard that there is this roasted meat shop which is very famous. There was once when i passby this shop, there is really a very inviting roasted meat smell sneaking out from da shop.. before we had a chance to have the food, 茹's coll told her that actually it is not so nice and the price is quite expensive.we also heard good comments from our other fren. hmmm..anyway,finally after almost one month, we got ourself seated in this shop as it started drizzling when i fetch 茹 back from work.
i was quite excited as im thinking that finally im able to try it BUT to my dismay.. the quality of the roasted duck, roasted meat, rice and even the soup is not up to standard!
when the rice was served, from the looks i know it should taste normal and it didnt guessed wrongly. the gravy doesnt stands out at all.. aih..
next the duck and roast meat.. alamak.. maybe i really gave too much hope on it.. it seems that this taste of this duck i can get is anywhere in singapore or maybe others are even better.. no mood to comment about it.. there is also their roasted pork ribs.. i cant taste any other thing beside the pepper.. this thing also can be sold?
ordered a dried cuttlefish white radish soup.. hmmm.. the cuttlefish is not "smeeelllyy" enough.. meaning the cuttlefish used is not enough ratio to the water.. taste still passable to 茹 but to me, its still not up to par compare to others...
there are a lot of newspaper cuttings pasted on the walls and i just dun understand why was this shop introduced... aih..
