Before knowing 茹, if anyone say that whr is the best bitter gourd soup, sure i will recommend them to Kah Kah Lok at Johor Jaya(i have a previous post regarding this restaurant). Now i know "one mountain got one mountain high".. Senai bittergourd is actually very famous also but till this date, i haven tried the one at senai.. heard that oledi not so nice..
a few weekends ago, visited the sub restaurant at Kulai.. i do not have the exact address. i ask me to direct the way, it is situated at one of the shophouse direct after Tesco Kulai. there are really a lot of customers lo.. but if compare to kahkahlok, their food serving is counted slow..
the first serving is the fried toufu with mince meat..
my tongue told me that i like this dish a lot.. hehehe.. i always like to eat any type of TOUFU.. hahahaha..
second came the bittergourd soup.. let me taste taste.. there is a little bitter taste in da soup.. am i saying "lung talk"? bitterguard soup if no little bitter is it then wat soup is that? hahaha.. wat i meant was, its a little bit more bitter than those i have normally but its still acceptable. the bittergourd in da soup, of course tasted even more bitter but to me, again im still okie.. hahaha.. personally prefer it more than the one serve in kahkahlok..
does their deep fried hakka pork tasted better than kahkahlok? decision whihc i made without siding any party is...... kahkahlok win for this dish.. it seems the taste at kahkahlok is better.. i ask for "half fat thin" meat and they really gave me one piece very fat and one piece very thin.. wanna pengsan.. hahaha.. normally say like that meaning i wan the pork to be not too fat and not too thin ma.. not give me two separate pork! hahaa.. anyway, i still finished all.. damn it.. FAT!
just a 2cents of opinion, if u are near to kulai then can give a try but if u are staying at jb, kahkahlok dishes is on da par with them la.. no need to spend ur costly petrol all da way to kulai to taste them.. hohoho...
