HCMC Day 3 Part 1

Its day 3 edi! oh no.. breakfast is da same but dun have my favourite chicken wing and the porridge already finished.. oh my oh my.. da fried rice tasted bad today.. wat a sad breakfast..
lets forget about da breakfast..as for da third day, we r still following da saigon tourist to another attraction which is the Chu Chi Tunnel. It was a half day trip. Chu Chi Tunnel is a place where Vietnamese built during their war with the US. It took us also almost 2hrs to reach this location. Again im unable to sleep during this whole ride.. how come HC so easily sleep le.. i think i not yet count up to 5mins his head oledi slanted 1 side edi.. geeezz.
Oh no its a bery hot day lo.. my sweat seems like flowing from a loosen tap! At first da tour guide, gave us a short explaination about da history of Chu Chi tunnels and then lead with a 10mins short clip.Then there we go to look look c c around.we were shown their type of booby traps and i felt a little gooseskin when looked at them cause it seems very painful. yeee..The tunnel that they built is really very small.. we crept in a 40m tunnel which is widen for tourist like us but i still felt it is too crampy.. mayb im too fat.. haha.. the other problem is, i keep need to squad.. this makes my legs very tiring which eventually make me sweat more!(sorry, did not take a nice picture of the internal tunnel picture)
then we were led to a firing station. per bullet is 30,000dong and need to buy at least 10 bullets. We paid for 10 AK47 bullets. its my first time firing a real gun. the feel was really different from the modified AK47 paintball gun..hahha.. too shame as i missed all my targets.. hahaa..after that nothing much to c edi.. walk walk a while then we head back to HCMC. its really tiring as i felt asleep on da way bek!
reached HCMC, and it is a happy thing to say, its LUNCH time!haha.. the tour guide recomended us to the Lemongrass Restaurant. The previous day we already planned to eat thr but the previous tour guide told us it is very expensive but actually it is not lo. luckily we still able to step into this restaurant. Da food was quite nice but wat i hate in Vietnam was, everytime i over eaten! after each meal i felt so so so full!with da two gals who eat a bit say im full and the other guy is a vegetarian.. so, who will eat those foods that have meat?

Sundown Marathon

Its da fourth year of Sundown and its da second time im taking part. I missed the first year because im still not into marathon and the third year was because of working. This year im taking up the 10km challenge because i know im unable to run all da way for 42km as i have given myself twice to proof that i can't and nobody accompany me for 21km. haha.. this year my partner is a gurl wor.. haha.. so if on da way no strength liau also cannot stop as cannot lose face.. haha.. 大男人!
Yesterday, started at 6pm sharp, there i go through the starting gantry. There were 9000 people so u can imagine how pack is it. actually is always the same in each marathon, the first 5km is very hard to maintain ur own speed as keep need to overtake, avoid and brake as too many people in the picture.
I nvr had a chance to c how good this gurl is in running but yesterday i only know she is GOOD in it. hahaha.. her pace was quite similar as mine so it is not hard to adapt. at around 8.5km, without giving signal, her ferrari auto gear suddenly pick-up make my manual mini lao pok car trailed behind her.. haha.. adding a turbo consist of "Nitrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen, methane, and hydrogen sulfide" haha.. im able to c her back light again.. haha..
together we finally passed through the finishing gantry in 1hr 5mins and 06 seconds! yeah we made it..

* paid $40++ for this marathon but what i got is only a singlet and a few discount vouchers in da goodie bag.. its such a shame of NB in its first year of organizing this event as compared to Adidas. At least, during adidas session, we felt that we did not paid the money just for the marathon.. we still get sumthing back. A lot of frens also complaint about the same matter..

HCMC Day 2 Part 2

After our lunch, we were on da boat again. We were brought to a "historical" house ( i forgot when is it built), and there is some sort of singing and acting performance by the local people.Next, we visited a small fruit farm whr wat i saw were mostly BIG durians and BIG jackfruits. Nothing amasing about it as these things we already had in msia just that the size is mayb twice of wat i have seen.. haha..
Then da boat travelled for about another half an hour. Saw some people on sampan seems quite shiok to sit on it. hehe..We reached Vinh Long. This place is some sort of a big wet market.The surroundings are quite dirty.After a tour around this area, that ends our 1 day trip. Another 2 hours journey bek to HCMC. Its tiring but i not sure y i just can't fall asleep. On da way bek, i found out that in Vietnam, they do not have a place as what we called as graveyards. All their ancestors, they buried them at their padi fields. Its wat i saw but im not sure how correct am i.
Reached HCMC is about 7pm edi. For dinner, its our first time in HCMC that we did not eat Vietnamese food. We selected Italian food. But the dishes from this shop SUCKS! aih..

Back to hotel to clean ourself and thr we go for my second round of massage. This time was with da gals. we did not get back to da "black" shop. This time entered a shop which is just a few blocks away from da "black" shop. 4 person in a room.. i felt so SAFE. hahaha.. Overall da massage is better than wat i had the previous night and this time it just cost me USD$15. cheap right!

HCMC Day 2 Part 1

Internal alarm clock rang about 5.45am Singapore time, Meaning about 4.45am HCMC time, i already widely awaked.. turn here and thr until feeling very headache, bohpien its time to wake up. 6am is da time. look HC still sleeping soundly. brushed up myself, and out i went look look c c on my first morning at HCMC.
The street was still quiet but saw that people already sit around having breakfast on the roadside. Feeling wanna 入乡随俗 but just unable to convince myself eating those street food as it seems really dirty lol.Walk around for a while then back to hotel for breakfast. I have stayed in quite some hotels b4 but this is da first time i saw breakfast serving fried chicken wings. haha.. and its my favourite.. kaka.. other dished were normal breakfast menu.After breakfast waited for the tour guide to fetch us for our first tour at HCMC. Mekong River is da destination. Punctual on 8.20am, da guide came. Fetch quite a numbers of others travellers from other hotel and thr we see off. The route to Mekong Delta, tooks us about 2hrs.
When we reached da river, da time already about 10.30am. The river market already ceased and we were not able to experience wat is the so called busy river market. too bad.. normally if wan to join in da fun, need to join the 2 days 1 nite tour. anyway, still able to c some of da boat hanging around there and we were told that those ppl stays in the boat. if for me, i sure everyday seasick.. haha.. all of da boats have eyes drawn at the bow. It is a belief that after having da eyes on da bow, the river deity will protect them.
We reached our first destination which is the place where they make their local snacks. Actually most of them is da same as wat we have in Malaysia.. we came so far to see the same thing? hahaha..

After this, we had our lunch at a so called local villager's house. The first dish is a deep fried fish which attract our attention from far for its deco.. again there is this spring roll but this time its rice paper is not as hard as wat we had at Pho24. Papermint again!!! I hate it so much! other food is really quite normal.. not much to explain...

川味人家 @ Bugis

I haven eaten delicacies from China before but this is the first time i tried ShiChuan food. My fren always said told me how nice it is. Here come da chance for me to taste it. Overall i can say the food is VERY oily and quite salty but taste wise is a PASS for me. My fren still said it is not nice enough if compared to those at Melburne. Hmm.. no comment as this is the first time i tasted it. hehe.. all of the dishes, there are chilies but actually it is not so spicy.. just looks spicy only.. haha.. i always heard ppl say 水煮鱼..but actually it should be called as 油煮鱼..how come it is called 水煮鱼 i really dun understand! totally they ordered 9 dishes which im quite shocked as there are only 6 of us.. so many things to eat but actually we almost finished all of them.. haha.. FAT! If you have chance to step into this shop, remember to ask for discount after they hand u the bill.. total bill cost us $120.
