After tasted the superb alley food at Jln Wong Ah Fook, we targeted another alley which promise by some other bloggers for heavenly food too..
We setoff to the destination after a tiring working Friday with high expectation to get nice food for our grumbling tummy. The first impression when i reached the entry was, ohhh, this place is a lot cleaner then Jln Wong Ah Fook. It is situated between a row of shophouses and houses. More specifically, its known as back lane of Jalan Harimau, opposite ESSO and behind Standard Charted Bank(clear enough?). Although, cleaner place gave me better mood to eat as i dont see any roaches or rat greeting me, but taste of the food is the most important.
Actually in this alley, there is just a few stalls and the recommended dishes were the laksa and fried cockles kuey tiau. So do not need to think much, we order them..
Maybe i have too high expectation, both dishes seems do not reach the standard i marked. hmmm.. im quite dissapointed of it.
For the laksa, actually its not bad but as maybe being promoted by other till its so nice, and tasting it to be so normal, really makes my mood drop. the ingredients are very normal if i dont remember wrongly, beancurd(tofu), beancurd skin(taukee)and some cockles. da dish cost me RM4.50.
Next for the fried kueytiau.. hmmm.. i only can say the taste is not there.. the spirit is not there.. dont know how to explain.. it just that the fagrance of a fried kueytiau is not there.. hahaha.. understand me? da dish emptied RM3.50 from my wallet.
besides that, we still ordered fried dough(youtiau) and 6taste(liu wei.. hahaha).. nothing to expect from them.. hahaha..
so, if u dont mind see cockroaches or rats, i really recommend jln wong ah fook's stall for its magnificient taste of food.. hahhaa..
