Carabao Thai Restaurant by Ru

Long heard about this famous Thai restaurant in JB, located beside the AIA building and New York Hotel. How could we miss out this restaurant since I have been craving tomyam for quite some time already??? HERE WE GO!!!

I like the ambient of the restaurant, it's surrounded by trees and plants so that it looks very tropical. Not to mention their restaurant is built up by wooden and attap roofing!

Carabao provides wide range of the food varieties and we took a little while to decide what to order and we're crossing fingers and hoping that the foods serves nice. The foods were served after waiting for around 20 minutes...

Firstly, the pineapple fried rice was absolutely one of the nice dish of the night.. The rice was really appetizing with the companion of cashew nut and pineapple, it tasted great with the combination!

Another signature dish of Carabao - The green curry chicken! The aroma of the gravy was fantastic and it's best to accompany with the plain white rice. Fortunately, a not very spicy-eater like me could accept the level of the spiciness. I reckon most of the people can take this dish? hehe...

Lalala, how could the Thai dinner lack of Tom Yam Gong??? I would like to give 2 thumb-upz for this dish - Tom Yam Seafood with clear soup. The soup is so flavorful and the level of the sourness and spiciness were just nicely done. Sometimes I don't really appreciate those tom yam soup which is too sour less spicy or vice versa.

Another great dish of the night - Fried mushroom with butter sauce. OMG, the fried mushroom was coated by the butter sauce evenly and it's tasted heavenly nice!! I just could not resist myself to take it one piece after one piece. yumm yummm... Being more fussy a bit, if the fried mushroom is more crispy will be even nicer :P

Thai Mango Salad .. nothing to shout about it as I tried nicer one in KL before, but it's counted not bad la...

Lastly, the Thai style fried omelette. Frankly speaking this is the worst dish among all. I have tried once in Bangkok and I could not forget how nice it was... sigh, this omelette was just too oily and too plain to me.

Overall, Carabao serves quality Thai foods which are above average. We will definitely pay it a visit again in not far future. Vin keep saying he would like to try out their original tom yam gong hehe...
