Triple Three Cafe @ Mandarin Oriental by Ru

Sorry for the late posting of this, in fact we tried the buffet around 3 months ago but I have been lazy to update it..hehehe...ok cut the crap, straight to the point.

Heard that there was a 1 for 1 promotion ($70++ for 2 pax) for the lunch buffet at Triple 3, Vin decided to bring me here and try their foods as he got quite positive reviews online. Therefore, here we go!!!

There were some crowds after we stepped into the restaurant and we could not wait to browse through their food bars. Hmm, overall the food varierities were quite satisfactory which consisted of Chinese, Western, Japanese, Indian, Salad bar and dessert bar. And the beverages like coffee and tea were on free flow based.

First of all, we tried out their cold foods like sashimi, salads, sushi etc.. The foods all tasted fairly ok, nothing to be wow...

After that I went to the Western Cuisine bar to order my favourite Cabonnara and Vin ordered his beloved Aglio Olio. You can pick your preferred ingredients such as mushroom, squid and prawn to mix with your spaghetti. Hmm after the first taste, we were quite disappointed as it taste quite plain and tasteless...However I gave the chef a second attempt and I made a little request by asking the chef to put more cheese and sauce, and the 2nd time taste slightly better..

I would like to give compliment to the Indian chef there, the nasi beriani taste great especially their curry mutton, tasted flavorful and nice..thumb up for it

The beef taste so so only and its quite hard to bite...And we did not fancy their teppanyaki and tempura as well

Again, the Chinese cuisine did not impress me and the foods serve quite cold.. hmm, they should serve hot foods instead as this is the main criteria for Chinese cuisine..

A big cross to this Japanese cold wheat noodles, the sauce was just awful..

The curry noodles tasted okay but not for my liking, lack of the heavy curry taste...

We are not the dessert fans, nevertheless the mango cheese tasted not bad, others cake taste normal to us. Besides, I like the green tea ice cream haha

Overall, the restaurant is a fine dining place and the service there is great as the staffs there are quite fairly friendly. However I do not think we will go again if there is any promotion as I do have little disappointment on their foods.
