whenever somebady tell me about claypot chicken rice, the first few things that comes into my mind is dry, not enough taste and char rice. there r a lot of people selling claypot chicken rice but how many of them really taste nice? in sg, i have given a lot of chances to those people who are selling but they always nvr give me any suprises. this time, when 茹 recomended this stall, i felt some hope as da picky tongue said its nice..
this stall is at the same place whr i mention about the lousy guo tiao zai. At taman sri tebrau, beside the shell petrol station. when i reached this shop, wat i saw was "people mountain people sea".. and almost every table has a claypot on it.
we ordered a claypot chicken rice for 2 person, a plate of vege and a pot of watercrest soup (and as i said in da other post, i also ordered a small portion of guo tiao zai that sucks!). hmm.. as there were a lot of people, we waited for about 20mins for your dishes to be served.
First, the soup was served. I like watercrest soup a lot and the way they cook it did not dissapoint me. thumbs up! Next came the claypot rice and the vege.
Wow.. from da look, the claypot rice really enchanted me.. when 茹 was mixing da rice together, wahhh.. da smell.. woosshhh.. so fragrant.. can i have da pot by myself??? hahaha... first taste was absolutely great! it seems long long time i never tasted such nice claypot chicken rice liau.. its not dry and almost each of da rice was covered with its gravy.. the only thing that i personnally think its lacking, was da little char smell. if thr is then it will be perfect for me. but for ru preference, she likes it without da smell. its really very satisfied having this meal and da price is really cheap too. for this three dishes for 2 person, i only cost RM20. to me is damn cheap la.. everytime i talk to my frens regarding food, i will bring out this dish to recommend to them.. hehee.. need to let everybady knows about it..
