HCMC Day 1 Part 4

After a sumptous dinner, we head back to our hotel. Its about half an hour walk before we reached. On our way, we stop here and there to snap some night sceneries.




Before we reached our hotel, saw a lot of massage heavens!haha.. da gals still happily said, why not after our bath, we set off to the massage center? both us guys nodded our head agreeing.
After our bath, we rest on our bed and i almost fall asleep although its just about 9pm but dun forget i woke up at 3am in da morning that day and HCMC is 1 hour slower than SG. The phone rang, and at the end of da line is BK. She said they r too tired and is it ok to postpone the massage to the next day. I just said OK and hung up. Me and HC discussed a while and decided to go test water. Its a Guys Nite. haha..
As one of them gave us a flyer, base on the price to us still ok la.. USD$15 Full body massage for 60mins. Compared to SG its damn cheap. When we just step out of our hotel, thr is this 龟公，started to pester us. Starting he talk to us in Chinese, when he see us no response, then he talked in English and we still dun care of him, he started talking in Vietnamese if im not wrong. What he was saying is, "they have a lot of young girls for us to choose.. all very pretty.. do you need any service?".. we reached the massage place but the first thing that make me feel uncomfortable is, how come the gal lead us to a shop behind the alley?hmm.. when step into their shop, hmm.. actually its quite comfortable lo.. we chose the rock massage which i nvr tried b4 but it cost USD$30 which is still cheap. then a cute gal led us to the room BUT how come both of us is separated?hmmm.. that time din think so much lo. the gal that served me is mayb in her late twenties. changed into their massage costume which is a boxer and the massage started. wow, this gal kungfu is quite good.. all the points that she pressed really cures the tiredness of da whole day. Almost fall asleep but as she puton the rock on me.. ouch! its hot man.. the gal giggle a while when she saw i jumped a little.. ahha.. paiseh DAO~~ after the back session, she ask me to turned around.. this time i felt very funny, how come need to massage in front de? she started on my legs and slowly move up to the thigh.. i felt very uneasy lo.. she move on to the inner thigh and then suddenly she speak in CHINESE! 你要吗？我的功夫很厉害的.. i rejected directly and she keep asking me why.. i told her its not nessasary. she seems very annoyed. She continued the massage but keep trying to convince me. i just keep shaking my head and ignore her. she said sumthing, 你的朋友在做着，为什么你不要？haha.. at this point im not thinking of myself edi, i jus dun belif my ears wat she is telling me as to me, HC i such a straight guy, will he really accept or da gal is trying to convince me? but anyway, i said, wat he is doing is not my matter. after a while i finished the massage and she started to asked for tips. in my wallet the smallest i have is USD$10.. aih bohpien la.. just gib her then i walk out..im out at the lobby first.. while waiting for HC, saw an old man walking our accompany by a young gal and he is smiling cheekily.. i cannot help myself but my thoughts went slanting.. haha.. about 10 mins later, HC came out. we paid and left da shop.
On da way bek to hotel, i tried to ask HC if he accepted da extra service. he said she offered him also but he rejected. hehe.. he got accept or not is only he knows, i also dun wan to ask so much.. but i told him it is a 黑店, i wont b back and will not bring da gals thr also. we will try other shops next time.
So guys if you r going to HCMC and you wan extra service after a nice massage, this is da shop you should look for..hahaha.. but if you wan a clean service, please stay far away and stay tune to my next blog session for a nice, cheap and clean massage shop.. ^.^


Reached da hotel around 11pm. Its such a long day for me and i have been awake for 20hrs. After a bath, i jumped on da bed, and my power was directly switched off.. Its a gud nite sleep..

I Am Number Four

Not sure why a few friends of mine told me that this movie sucks but to me it is quite ok. Its like a superhero movie. At least better than the few vampire's movie that i have seen previously(do u know which movie i meant?) haha.. Not sure if there is a second part for this movie but if there is, i sure will support it in da cinema. ^.^

HCMC Day 1 Part 3

Step out of Saigon Tourist.. hmmm.. where should we go? opened up the map.. where r we?
Since is already half a day pass, nothing much we can so.. so the best thing is to walk around the city lol..If any of you planning to go HCMC, remember to passby Saigon Tourist Centre to get their local map as i felt that it is more detail compared to those that i have bought or found in the net.
The first location that we passed by is the People's Committee Building and then the Reunification Palace. Both this building is just a Hi-Bye location. Just snap a few pictures then there we go for da next spot.

Then the next attraction is the Ben Thant Market.

This place is famous for its handicrafts, souveniers, bags, snacks, local delicacies, and some says the local food which i nvr tried here. We just scroll around a while and we proceed for our next stop as we know we will be back later for their goods. At least we know whr is it for da moment.


War Remnants Museum is our next stop. This place actually tells da story how brutal US Army in those passed years. We actually spend about 2-3hrs strolling around. This is da first place in this trip whr i made RJ angry when i said she should take a photo with the tiger cage.. her face totally darken. oppss.. said da wrong thing.. haha.. da best is not to get near her after that.. haha..


About 4pm we r out of da museum. actually im quite hungry by then but as da time is still early, y not we visit the Xa Loi Temple which is quite near. There we go, turn left, turn right.. remember to look at the traffic as there are so so so so many motorbikes around and really need to re-learn how to go across a road.. haha.. finally after 20mins of walk..i saw the pagoda coming into view but too bad.. we are too late. The temple is closed by then. What to do.. just snap a few pictures then we proceed for our dinner.

We already knew whr we should go for our dinner. Quan An Ngon is da place whr it is a place which serve a varieties of Vietnamese delicacies. The food is quite nice and we are quite satisfied with wit. Quan An Ngon is located at two places. One at the main street, Nam Ky Khoi Nghia and the other is just located behind it at Pasteur street. The ambience of this location is nice and the shop assistant is very friendly.. highly recommended for this shop. During dinner, mouth very itchy, accidentally shoot RJ again.. alamak.. she seems to be quite angry for da moment. =.=" for da rest of da days, i really think b4 i speak.. haha..





Personally i like the garlic fried rice(second from the top) and the deep friend spring roll(fourth from the top). Thumbs upz!

HCMC Day 1 Part 2

After a 2hrs flight, i finally step onto da land of Vietnam! The first impression, how come the airport nothing de? no shops and after we took our luggage, the way is directly out to the road. hmm.. funny..
Directly outside the airport, there are a lot of taxi. hmm.. the taxi driver speak a little of english and we understood that the route to our hotel will cost us about USD$25. As we do not know the price, we agreed with him but little did we know that, a very big parang has been placed on our neck!haha...
From the airport till our hotel, HOSEN HOTEL took us about 30mins. The hotel is located at district 1 whr all the other main hotels are located. If im not wrong, it cost us USD$33 per day for the hotel. Cheap rite! Highly recommend using AGODA.com to book ur hotel as i saw their rate there is USD$45 per day.
After kaotim checking in, there we go for our first lunch! haha.. damn happy as my main purpose thr is to MAKAN!from our homework makan list, we chosen a shop named as Pho Hua. As it is the first day, dun have any direction sense at all and with the map it seems useless. So we started simply walking around using our SIX SENSED! haha.. Anyhow, we walked the wrong direction but it let us spotted a nice cosy cake shop whr HC bought his first loaf of bread thr.

天不做媒，it started to rain!Alamak.. only BK has a small umbrella.. never mind, the fastest way to get to our destination is.. 把手拿起来，挥挥手.. very fast thr is a taxi BUT after all of us in the taxi, our first problem surfaced!Communication problem! the taxi driver do not understand little english at all. tried to explain for about 5mins, i gave up and said "we walk". i think he only undertand my last phrase as he nodded his head. haha.. luckily the rain only drizzle by then.. lazy to find the shop, we just crossed the road to a shopping center, Vincom right in front of us for our lunch.
We still had Pho for our first lunch. The shop name is Pho 24 which is a franchise Pho shop around Vietnam. In case u do not know, Pho is a rice noodles with beef but now already available with other combinations. Its actually my first experience eating Vietnam delicacies.. The taste of the Pho is quite bland but still ok to me but I hate the peppermint leaf which they used in their spring roll. I just HATE it!hahaha... the rice paper give me a feeling that im really eating paper.. puik puik! haha... overall for 4 person, we spend around USD$25.




After our lunch, walked over to Saigon Tourist. There were a few package for us to choose. Finally we chose 3 trips, which were the Mekong and Vinlong Tour, Chu Chi Tunnel and Water Puppet show + a cruise dinner. Its also a headache when come to pay the bills as the notes here are so big in numbers! i have forgotten the exact price that we paid but for 3 of these trips i cost us more than USD$100. After paying already felt that im 70% broke. haha..

FYI: Pho should be read as "fur" + pin yin second sound.. haha.. Vietnam language really hears like Thai language.

HCMC Day 1 Part 1

一片黑暗在眼前。。几点了？很像睡了很久。。闹钟没响吗？转过身，才三点半。翻来覆去，都不能睡了。。太高兴了吗？不觉得咯。。 不要浪费时间，还是起来看下戏比较好。哈哈。。
四点半了，应该要准备一下了吧。梳洗了后，再察一察，应该是没什么了。。 出发咯！！！
到了家楼下，想要提钱可是ATM不是24hrs！忘了忘了！
不费力气就有了一辆TAXI。应该够钱吧。。SGD$12 我到了机场。。很贵咯！真的很恨那个double charge！
Budget terminal 没有东西的。。坐在一旁，听着歌，等他们来。。
5.30am， check-in 时间到了。。等着他们，我就先排队。。幸好counter的人没效率，我的队友们到了，刚好到我。
check-in 了之后，在里头吃了个荷叶饭，白白的可是味道还不错。可能我太饿了吧。。哈哈

应该是很久没旅行了吧，感觉真的蛮不错。。
Ho Chi Minh, 我们来了!

Mamak Food @ JB CIQ

Nvr did i know that under CIQ there is a mamak stall until Pete bring me thr. Hmmm.. The quality of the roti sardine is really a disappointment as part of it already burned and overall it is too dry. I did not taste but c also no mood. Other dishes tasted very normal only. If there is other options, i think this shop wont last long.. haha..

Jones the Grocer @ Tanglin Village

There is some reviews on the net highly recommended the food from this shop. Maybe having too high expectation, after tasting the food, it is really disappointed. I dun think i will be back for more of their breakfast. Anyway, i like the ambience of da shop.
